知識も豊富で、最も賢い獣人がこの上白沢慧音である。	Rich in knowledge, the wisest of the therianthrope is Keine Kamishirasawa.
彼女は、満月を見ると白沢に変身する（＊１）。	Upon seeing the full moon, she will transform into a hakutaku (*1).
白沢は、国を治める有徳な王者の元に現われ、未来の厄災を教え正しい道に導いてくれる妖怪である。	A hakutaku is a youkai which appears to virtuous rulers at the beginning of their reign, warning them of future calamities and guiding them on the path of righteousness.
彼女は人間の時に歴史を消して、白沢になると歴史を創ってしまう。	She can erase history when human, and when she becomes a hakutaku, she can create history.
幻想郷の歴史は、彼女によって創られているのだ（＊２）。	Gensokyo's history is one created by her (*2).
歴史というのは、ただ物事が起きただけでは歴史にはならない。	Regarding history, things do not become history merely by happening.
誰かの手によって歴史にして貰わないと歴史にはならない。	Things do not become history unless someone records it as history.
起こっていない事を捏造して歴史にしたり、逆に実際に起こった事件でも歴史から抹消する事も出来る。	She can fabricate history that didn't happen, or conversely, erase from history incidents which actually did happen.
事実を一視点から見た物が歴史なのだ。	History is reality, seen from a single point of view.
白沢の能力も、国の王者にとっての都合の良い歴史を創る物に過ぎない。	It would not be too much to say the power of the hakutaku is used to create favorable histories for those virtuous rulers.
彼女は人里に住み、寺子屋を開き、そこで日々歴史の編纂を行っている（＊３）。	She lives in the human village, where she runs a temple school and records history there every day (*3).
そういった事を行うのが彼女の仕事である。	Such is her profession.

対策	Countermeasures
普通はちょっと堅い所が多いが、決して悪い人間では無いので、必要以上に恐れる必要はない。	Although she's a little stubborn, since she has no ill will towards humans, there's no need to be afraid.
ただ、宿題を忘れたりすると恐ろしい罰が待っている（＊４）。	However, if you forget your homework, a fearful punishment is waiting (*4).
普通に人里に住んでいるのでよく見かけるだろう。	She is often seen, since she normally lives in the human village.
その時は、普通に挨拶をしよう。	At that time, you should greet her.
挨拶をしない人間を嫌う様である。	It seems that she dislikes people who are discourteous.
また、満月の夜は白沢に変身する。	Also, she becomes a hakutaku on the night of the full moon.
この時は、一ヶ月間溜まった仕事を一気に行うため、気が立っている事が多い。	As she has a month of work on which to catch up at this time, she is often on edge.
だから、満月の夜に彼女の元を訪ねるのは止めよう（＊５）。	Therefore, refrain from visiting her on the night of the full moon (*5).
