Sekken'ya (石鹸屋, Sekken'ya) is a musical group that specializes in rock and punk style live band music. They're also well known as participants in the Flowering Night events, and served as the backing band for live performances of COOL&CREATE (Beatmario's music circle) works such as Help Me, ERINNNNNNN!!!

Sekkenya live on Flowering Night 2009

Band member Shuzou has a solo project named Zekken'ya.

Their group name Sekken'ya (石鹸屋) can be literally translated to "Soap shop"; "soap" (石鹸, sekken), ya (屋, suffix for "shop/seller/dealer"). Contrary to it, they do not sell soap.

There is an English fan-site for Sekkenya, Soap Shop, run by hirasawayui. It is focused on bringing English speaking Sekkenya fans together in a community, hosts lyrics for their original songs, and provides downloads for obscure Sekkenya files. Occasionally they post translated blog posts from the band.
