Midboss Spell Card[edit]

Spell Card 11
妬符「グリーンアイドモンスター」(Tofu "Guriin Aido Monsutaa")
Jealousy Sign "Green-Eyed Monster" [1]
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Easy
Spell Card Pattern Description
Parsee places herself on the top right corner of the screen and stops being able to damage the player through contact. From the top left corner, an invisible enemy comes into the screen, leaving a still trail of random green bullets behind. At first it goes in a static path, but soon starts tracking the player's exact path until some time passes, then the bullets and the enemy disappear and Parsee teleports to the top left corner and repeats the pattern with the invisible enemy starting on the same side as Parsee, alternating between left and right until the spell ends. The paths the invisible enemy takes are 4, being them in order, a zig-zag downwards, slowly going down near its spawning side to a third of the screen, and falling rapidly to the bottom of the screen for the last two waves.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
Jealousy and Envy.
The two emotions that can make a monster out of anyone. Don't fall into its trap.

Spell Card 12
妬符「グリーンアイドモンスター」(Tofu "Guriin Aido Monsutaa")
Jealousy Sign "Green-Eyed Monster"
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Normal
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to its Easy version, but Parsee will stay around the center of the screen vertically instead of near the top.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
Emotion, the hunter that stalks its prey.
Is running the only way to win? Hiding your emotions is not always a good thing to do.

Spell Card 13
嫉妬「緑色の眼をした見えない怪物」(Shitto "Midori-iro no Me wo shita Mienai Kaibutsu")
Envy "Green-Eyed Invisible Monster"
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Hard
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to "Green-Eyed Monster". For the first wave, the invisible enemy will come out of the right side of the screen instead, go to the left side, zig-zag downwards and then follow the player as normal. The pattern will then continue as normal, aside from the third wave, where the enemy will rapidly fall, then quickly go to the top of the screen and go to the right corner, before following the player as normal.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
Fear that darts across your path, seeking to block your exit.
Is there no escape from human nature? Seek every path you may find.

Spell Card 14
嫉妬「緑色の眼をした見えない怪物」(Shitto "Midori-iro no Me wo shita Mienai Kaibutsu")
Envy "Green-Eyed Invisible Monster"
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Lunatic
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to its Hard version.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
Greed and envy that threaten to drag you down even as you run.
Well, you know what they say. If someone makes you envious, drench them in curtain fire.

Boss Spell Card #1[edit]

Screenshot
Spell Card 15
花咲爺「華やかなる仁者への嫉妬」(Hanasaka-jii "Hanayaka naru Jinsha he no Shitto")
Grandpa Hanasaka "Jealousy of the Kind and Lovely"
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Easy
Spell Card Pattern Description
Parsee will slowly sway around the middle height of the screen, occasionally shooting a single large green bubble bullet aimed at the player. These bullets will leave a trail of rice shaped bullets in cherry blossom patterns. The flowers will stay in place and cycle through a series of colors that change each time Parsee shoots a bubble before they disappear. They are pink when the bubble leaves them behind, then they change through purple, white and red.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
Solitary swaths of flowers blossom before your eyes.
They wither in four phases, though. Perhaps Parsee needs to speak with Yuyuko?

花咲爺「華やかなる仁者への嫉妬」(Hanasaka-jii "Hanayaka naru Jinsha he no Shitto")
Grandpa Hanasaka "Jealousy of the Kind and Lovely"
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Normal
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to its Easy version. Bubbles are faster, and from the fifth bubble onwards, every time Parsee shoots, there will also be a ring of large green bullets coming from her.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
Solitary swaths of flowers are now joined by rings of green bullets.
These flowers are not meant to be decorative, but traps.

Spell Card 17
花咲爺「シロの灰」(Hanasaka-jii "Shiro no Hai")
Grandpa Hanasaka "Shiro's Ashes" [2]
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Hard
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to "Jealousy of the Kind and Lovely" on Normal. At the same time as Parsee is shooting a bubble aimed at the player, she will shoot another one in the opposite direction.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
A swath of flowers blooms in both directions.
Cherry blossoms, in the underground? Parsee does wish for the impossible. Shouldn't she be able to leave this place?

Spell Card 18
花咲爺「シロの灰」(Hanasaka-jii "Shiro no Hai")
Grandpa Hanasaka "Shiro's Ashes"
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Lunatic
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to its Hard version. Parsee now shoots a ring of six bubbles, with one aimed at the player.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
The cherry blossoms miraculously cover the horizon thanks to the presence of a virtuous soul.
Needlessly to say, that soul is not Parsee's. Or Marisa's. Or Reimu's, probably.

Boss Spell Card #2[edit]

Screenshot
Spell Card 19
舌切雀「謙虚なる富者への片恨」(Shitakiri Suzume "Kenkyo naru Fusha he no Kataurami")
Tongue-Cut Sparrow "Hate for the Humble and Rich" [3]
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Easy
Spell Card Pattern Description
Parsee goes to the middle of the screen and does her teleport animation. When she reappears, two Parsees will be on the screen, on the left and right, one that fires small white bullets and one that fires large green bullets. The one that shoots small bullets aims them at the player, the other shoots random circles of them. If the Parsee that fires large bullets is shot, it will begin firing faster and in random directions in a way that is difficult to control, and will be destroyed after taking a certain amount of damage; meanwhile the one shooting small bullets is the real Parsee, and shooting her will deal damage to the spell card. After some time has passed, the clone will disappear, and the real Parsee will put a clone in her place before teleporting to the other side.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
You are offered your choice of targets: one that shoots small bullets, and one that shoots larger bullets.
If you understand the story of the sparrow, you know which one offers rewards if shot.

Tongue-Cut Sparrow "Hate for the Humble and Rich"

Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Normal
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to its Easy version, with both Parsees firing faster.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
You are offered your choice of targets: one that shoots small bullets, and one that shoots larger bullets.
Choosing poorly could be fatal. Perhaps you should hold your fire until you know which is which?

舌切雀「大きな葛籠と小さな葛籠」(Shitakiri Suzume "Ooki na Tsuzura to Chiisa na Tsuzura")
Tongue-Cut Sparrow "Large Box and Small Box"
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Hard
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to "Hate for the Humble and Rich".
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
You are offered your choice of targets: one that shoots small bullets, and one that shoots larger bullets.
That's not to say one is more or less dangerous than the other if you are not careful. Sparrows are not fools.

Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Lunatic

If you knew the story, you would choose the third option - your wife. (kidding)

Boss Spell Card #3[edit]

Spell Card 23
恨符「丑の刻参り」(Konfu "Ushinokoku-mairi")
Malice Sign "Shrine Visit in the Dead of Night" [4]
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Easy
Spell Card Pattern Description
Parsee stays in the center of the screen, as she shoots unstable streams of aimed shots that turn into glowing bullets when they hit the edges of the screen.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
An unsteady array of shots that dissolve to ghost fire.
Move slightly, and the curses have no power on you; instead blowing back onto Parsee, how appropriate.

Spell Card 24
恨符「丑の刻参り」(Konfu "Ushinokoku-mairi")
Malice Sign "Shrine Visit in the Dead of Night" [4]
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Normal
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to its Easy version.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
An unsteady array of shots that dissolve to phantom fire.
Perhaps it would be best not to move much? The words of this jealous fiend cannot mean much.

Spell Card 25
恨符「丑の刻参り七日目」(Konfu "Ushinokoku-mairi Nanoka-me")
Malice Sign "Day 7 of the Shrine Visits in the Dead of Night" [4]
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Hard
Spell Card Pattern Description
Similar to "Shrine Visit in the Dead of Night", with Parsee shooting a pattern of seven evenly distanced streams at a time instead of one.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
Seven arrays of shots fill the screen with materialized hate.
People can say whatever they wish about you; if you never learn, it does not hurt you.

Malice Sign "Day 7 of the Shrine Visits in the Dead of Night" [4]
Owner
Parsee Mizuhashi
Stage 2 — Lunatic
Spell Card Pattern Description
Very similar to its Hard version.
Editor's ZUN-style Comment
Seven arrays of shots fill the screen with abundant spite.
Parsee's greatest weapon is hollow envy. Isn't it sad? Well, she's only a Stage 2 boss after all.
