TL Check

Stranger's Requiem is obvious. It's the 妖幻の鎮魂歌/Yougen no Chingonka part that I would like a romanization/translation check on. UTW 05:07, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

Should we assume you mean "Koumajou Densetsu is obvious"? And yes, I would be interested in seeing a more in-depth look at 妖幻の鎮魂歌, particularly 妖幻, since it just appears that the Uta 歌 kanji is replacing Kyoku 曲 for some reason in 鎮魂曲. Though I'd like to know why, of course; was thinking it could just be an abbreviation for 鎮魂曲歌, which seems to specify a sung requiem.

As for Yougen 妖幻, I'm going to guess its usage has similarity to 妖幻の血, or "Blood of Yougen," a 2001 manga apparently. I stumbled on a Chinese site with 漫画 and Google translated it as "demon magic," but since Chinese usage of kanji is often quite different I believe, I doubt that has much value here, but it's possible. But since there's already a manga using the word, I'm just going to assume that it's (at least now) accepted as a word, albeit not common (I haven't seen it in my usual online dictionaries, nor kotobank). 妖幻 appears in the jp wiki in various ways, 41 times, so if someone wants to take a crack at translating some of those that might actually explain it, have fun. Probably better to just find someone Japanese.

edit: and yes, I was unaware that the title screen actually included the English as "Stranger's Requiem." But perhaps that should be made clear, and the translation should maybe reflect something a bit different. --StrikerX22 07:06, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Curious lack of the story translation.

With the english patch out now there should have been one by now. Have people stopped caring about the game so soon that they don't care to replay it with the patch? --ReiKusanagi 16:56, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
