Since it is confirmed that she is one of the sages of Gensokyo and help create it. She has more than 130 years old (since the games universes is at the same year in our world), so this could be added to the characters section... Totalheartsboy (talk) 02:48, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

It's not really that common to add vague ages, especially when the time frame is so short. Over 1100 like Byakuren, or over 1300 like Tewi is a little more notable so they warrant inclusion. But there are frankly a lot of characters over 130, so it's simply not that special. UTW 13:32, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
IIRC, she's based after the person who created Noh (IE, Kokoro) and was a subordinate to Prince Shokoku, making her possibly around the same age as Miko. I don't think there's any proof that she is that same person in Touhou's canon yet, though, but it does mean that saying she's "over 130" would turn out to be a hilariously huge understatement if that's the case. Extra Origins

I'm leaving this link here so I or someone else can get back to it if anyone has the time. Cuc posted a list of references here (,20979.30.html) which also includes the likely place where ZUN got each of Okina's aspects in her profile. "She has a wide range of public faces-- an Earth mother goddess, a god of noh, a god of stars, a god of silkworm breeding, a god of hindrances, a god of discriminated peoples, et cetera." Cuc also included the likely explanation for why Okina is considered an enemy of the Tengu (the "Cow Festival" which apparently includes a dance meant to ward off Tengu).

I started trying to add it to Okina's origin page but then realized I needed citations. In particular, I can't seem to find a citation about anti-Tengu dances being included in the Cow Festival (the Cow Festival itself definately exists and includes lots of dances though so it's likely that there's just no website that bothered to mention the Tengu dance among others)

(there's a whole bunch of other amazing Hidden Star in Four Seasons references that Cuc figured out there too, of course)

Real life has deadlines for me at the moment so I don't really have time at the moment to add this while also finding and adding citations though. So... yea, I'll just leave this here for now until I or someone else can get back to it. TiamatRoar (talk) 19:01, 18 August 2017 (UTC)

It's possible that that info is incorrect. I did some Googling on my end and tengu-odoshi is linked Enryaku-ji on Mount Hiei (more or less what's referenced here) and I can't find any links between it and Koryu-ji or the Cow Festival at all. Polaris (talk) 21:29, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
