Tanks

Since the Flower Tank and the Flying Tank Sigma didn't exist anywhere on this wiki, I felt it natural for them to place them in Rikas profile. But maybe they should have their own profile. What do you think? -- User:Svinto 10:31 May 1, 2007 (GMT+1)

YuugenMagan has his own article, so it should be fine. Moogy (talk) 06:05, 1 May 2007 (PDT)
Ok. I created profiles for Flower Tank and Evil Eye Sigma and removed their pictures from Rika's profile. Svinto 17:59 1 May (GMT+1)
To add on to this convo from 3 years ago, Unzan doesn't have his own page and rather shares a page with Ichirin. Since Rika's tanks are in a similar situation, I think that they should follow suit. !8RstuPId2Y 02:52, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Is there a furigana reading for Sigma anywhere? This applies to other Greek letters - if there is no furigana, then the rules ought to follow the same applied for SinGyoku; instead Greek is translated straight into English. - Kiefmaster99 22:00, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

It is simply the Japanese language itself, of course. To say Σ is シグマ is as correct as saying Σ is "sigma." They are simply the ways the greek letters are read in the respective languages (in Microsoft IME, you input しぐま, which can be converted into Σ, and if you highlight this letter and click "recovert" using the IME, you get シグマ as an option). Perhaps there is no need to indicate how Σ would be read in the first place, though.--Tosiaki 22:03, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
Then we treat Σ as if it were non-Japanese. We treat it as Greek, and translate the Greek into English (which would be "Sigma"). Σ becomes translated into whatever each language decides to call that Greek letter, whether as Σ (or Σίγμα) in Greek, シグマ in Japanese, Sigma in English, Sigmo in Esperanto, etc. - Kiefmaster99 22:51, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
There is also the question of whether Greek letters should be kept in titles, and how to properly address them. I think we should stick with long name title, followed by other forms, based on three entries I have chosen to look up on Wikipedia:
NF-κB; Tumor necrosis factor-alpha; Rho factor
Two of three spell out the Greek letter in their title (although other ones that do spell include TGF-beta, IFNs). NF-κB is probably contracted because the actual name is so long. Maybe there are exceptions, but I am unaware of them. - Kiefmaster99 23:14, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
It seems that the Wikipedia style would be to spell out the entire thing for the title, and to use the Greek letters for occurrences within the text. I guess that this would make most sense.--Tosiaki 23:35, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Rika and...her pants.

There's not much of her in art but here is a good amount of it.

Redirect tanks

I like to hear other peoples view on this, but why are the tanks classified as characters? They're simply tanks. I like to remove them from the characters category. Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 17:18, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
