About Suika's phrase to Suwako

The current version translates Suika's phrase to Suwako like below;

Suika 勝手に地底世界に行ったり
ただもんじゃないねぇ
Even so, you can't just go
to the underground world whenever you feel like it.

I can't see the meaning of "whenever you feel like it", but I guess it means that "you can never go to such a place, because it is so far or hard to come, or because some youkai will attack you". But I'm not satisfied with the sentence, because "勝手に" and "ただもんじゃない" don't appear in the translated text. I think that "勝手に地底世界に行ったり" means "go to Underground without no permission" or implys "go to where only very strong humans or youkai can reach, by herself!". And "ただもんじゃないねぇ" is "you can't be an ordinary person"; "ただ" is "only, just, costing no money" "もん" is "person, guy", and the compound "ただもん (徒者, 只者)" means "ordinary person", whose negation is "extraordinary person". Is my translation weird, or does the current version of translation mean enough what I supposed? --Masuo64 08:33, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

Well, I seem to understand "勝手に" to mean "at will", "freely" or "without permission". However, I do admit that I did not understand what "ただもん" meant. I guess because she was speaking in slang, that's why I couldn't find it in the dictionary, and "只者" comes up as "ただもの". I understand now. I wasn't doubting what you were saying, but I couldn't see it myself so I just thought there might have been some misunderstanding somewhere. Sorry. In that case, I guess Suika means something like Suwako shouldn't try to manipulate the underground dwellers because she's a god? I haven't played SA so I think there's some part of the story I'm missing and I don't understand what she's referring to, unless it's just a warning not to do things like what she did to make Hisou Tensoku to the inhabitants underground.NForza 13:12, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
The dialogue in SA Extra confirms that Suwako visited the underground before, and the implication from Suika seems to be that Suwako's not normal since she can do that freely, as the underground world is considered a taboo place for the youkai above ground (which is why all the youkai sent the humans Reimu and Marisa underground in the first place in SA). I'd probably translate it as something like "You're really something to be able to go to the underground world as you please.", i.e similar to Masuo64's. DerangedTHMN 13:54, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
