Touhou LostWord is a free-to-play mobile gacha role-playing game developed by NextNinja and released by Good Smile Company.[1] The game features characters from the Touhou cast, available to be collected through the game's gacha mechanic.
Gameplay
Touhou LostWord contains similar gameplay to contemporary mobile games like Granblue Fantasy. Battles follow a traditional turn-based RPG system, where the player selects attacks and spells every turn for each member of their deployed party. In between battles, the player can view visual novel segments that reveal the plot of the game.
Story
An unidentified woman from the Outside World wakes up in the Forest of Magic with no memories of who she is or how she got there. The only thing she possesses is a strange diary that automatically records everything she has seen or experienced. After mending her initial confusion, the girl meets Reimu, who takes responsibility for her safety for the time being. A conversation with Yukari reveals that the outsider girl had emerged from a strange blue crystal in the shape of a perfect cube, which they call a "sealed crystal." The crystals seem to have unknown forces sealed inside, and if handled carelessly, the seal can come undone with explosive force. Many of these crystals have been found all around Gensokyo, and with this, Reimu and Marisa set off to track down as many sealed crystals as they can, both to prevent accidental injuries, and to figure out a way to get their new outsider friend back to the Outside World.
