Hello~ I'd like to request a translation of the Len'en Project games once possible.^^; Best of fortune be with you.Risanderu Yumikozuki (talk) 18:57, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Well, if I'd do a translation for them, it will take more skills to do :) Actually, Flan27 talked to that guy several times about those games and probably he (or someone else) could persuade JynX to add some changes to the game to make it easier to translate (or maybe, we could collect all translated stuff and send to the developer and he would add it so we could get half-official English version). So, it's good if someone could discuss it with the developer while the game is still in early development stages but you need to know Japanese for that, I guess. Necrotek (talk) 21:30, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
I hope the dialog will be translated at least.^^; So far, the music and the stage titles are the only things in English.
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 06:10, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
While you wait, would you mind looking at The Alternative Age? I really want to start work on a translation patch but it's rather pointless without translated dialogue. Arcorann (talk) 06:29, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
Not sure if it's possible, none of us know Japanese (at least, Risanderu Yumikozuki told on one of MPP talk pages that doesn't know Japanese). I wish I knew it... Necrotek (talk) 09:07, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
What I 'translate' is simply the usage of the ever faithful Google Translate coupled with logic. This does not get me far, although I can at least start the translation. I shall see.^^;

I am currently being troubled with an #Include error. These are the files it failed to find:

« #include"./system/Load_AllTexture.dnh" #include"./system/Score_Control.dnh" #include"./scene/Package_TitleScene.dnh"

Is there anything I could do to repair it? Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 18:51, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
It's difficult to say without exact error message but I can guess that you didn't update Danmakufu to pre20 after applying patch. You can fix by installing pre20 version or try the updated patch, 0.90a, which doesn't require you to update Danmakufu (it's optional now). Necrotek (talk) 19:47, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
I have attempted both.^^; The error seems to lie in the fact that it cannot locate these three files in the location it was asked to search. It seems like there's a malplacement of some sort.
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 06:29, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
That's weird. Ok, try this one, it's already English patched MPP. If it doesn't work then there is something really strange about this situation. Necrotek (talk) 08:24, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
It appears to be functioning now.^^ Thank you very much.
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 15:03, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
Could you describe how you tried to install it before? I'd like to improve my readme file so other people wouldn't face the same problem. Necrotek (talk) 15:50, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
I attempted multiple things:
—I added the patch to a separate danmakufu. This fixed the error of file invisibility but still did not run the game.
—I replaced the original Mystical Power Plant with the patch. This did not fix the former error.
—I replaced the def. file with another(of which I cannot recall).
—I attempted the same method with a different file.
—Attempted the other version with all previous methods.
Unfortunately, I am afraid I cannot be of much help as I were focused on different matters whist attempting to properly install.^^;
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 16:12, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
If you have time, could you try this method:
-Get MPP 1.00a from their website (it's the newest version which contains all game files, not just raw update)
-Update MPP to 1.00c, you can find this update on their website too
-Download English patch 0.90a and copy content of Th_mpp_patch folder to where th_dnh.exe is stored which you run to play the game.
-At last, try to run the game using th_dnh.exe
I just would like to avoid issues for other people who might just give up on the idea of playing the game just because they have problems to install game and translation. Necrotek (talk) 16:23, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
This particular version refuses to fully download to my computer, thus corrupting. Unfortunately, I cannot help you on this.^^; I wish I could.
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 16:41, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
Yep, I tried to download it too but it aborts after ~14-15% of download so I had to find a mirror. Hm...ok, I hope that there won't be more of these cases. Necrotek (talk) 16:47, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
Nonetheless, I am having endless fun on the Hard Mode.^^ I have currently reached the fifth stage—no usage of Continues, mind you!:P
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 18:46, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
It's lucky for you, for me this game is really slow to play comfortably ^^ Yep, I was doing translation even thought I can't play it properly. I need to find a way to play it too. Anyway, it's nice that you liked the game :) Necrotek (talk) 20:41, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
You are most welcome. Have fun yourself.^^
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 21:19, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
On an unrelated note; I have never had the need for Applocale whilst running any scripts. Might this be a factor to consider?
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 14:28, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
By "any" you mean any possible Danmakufu ph3 and 0.12 script? Because quite often you need Applocale if you don't use Japanese locale for your operating system. In case of MPP translation, I did changes to make it possible to run the game without it, otherwise you'd have to use it. Necrotek (talk) 15:12, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Yes. I had no need for such. The only times I was troubled were whenever I attempted to run a script made in Japanese. This said, the replays are faulty. There is the typical error where it at some point will have you lose all your lives because the AI does not move.^^;
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 15:19, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Hm, it appears that it happens if the replay is longer than a single stage.
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 15:43, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
You mean, replays for MPP or in general for Danmakufu scripts? Necrotek (talk) 15:56, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Certain scripts, but not all.^^; Another I recall having this error was "Juuni Jumon ~ Summer Interlude". As stated before, it seems that it occurs if the replay extends over multiple stages.
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 16:18, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Ah, I see. I just thought that maybe you were having issues with MPP replays. Yep, it happens for danmakufu scripts, don't know much how exactly it works in sense of how desync are supposed to be fixed if specific script has an issue. Btw, it would be nice if Danmakufu could get support of chaptered replays like in official Touhou games so you could choose specific level to start watching, not from the very beginning. Necrotek (talk) 16:24, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
I see.^^
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 16:27, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Could you possibly supply me with an unlocked Spell Card Practice for MMP?
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 17:26, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
Sure, It's not mine, it was left by developers. Necrotek (talk) 18:02, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much.^^
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 18:20, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
Hello again~
I am quite sorry to bother you once more.^^; Could you download The Last Comer and then send it to me after making certain it is functioning? As an experiment as it were.
I wish to see whether I am able to run the script after it has touched another computer, like MMP did.
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 18:47, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
Do you want it to be English patched before uploading? Necrotek (talk) 19:49, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
No, not at the moment. After I've conducted the experiment(regardless of outcome, given the anonymity of the game) you could patch it if it wouldn't be too troublesome.^^;
Before this though, I'd wish to test whether I can in fact run the script while it is in Japanese. Thank you.^^
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 20:32, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
I see. Ok, here - I added Danmakufu and tried it, it works. Necrotek (talk) 20:36, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
I cannot. Well, that was all I wished to test.^^;
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 21:26, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
How fare you and your projects?
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 15:20, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
For now, I'm busy with my RL stuff. After settling things up, I'll continue working on my two other translation projects which aren't related to Touhou though. Necrotek (talk) 23:49, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
I see.^^
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 11:28, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Just for fun and out of interest, I tried to decrypt data files and managed it :) I was interested to try and unpack data and take a look at what the game uses. It's not like I'm planning to translate the games (one of the reasons is that packing data back is likely to be a pain, I didn't examine data structure that much) but if someone would be interested in files for some reason - let me know. Necrotek (talk) 11:08, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

I hope someone will use these...:P
Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 15:12, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
Well, after some checks I noticed that some data is still partially encrypted. I didn't notice it earlier because those files which I checked, like images, music/sound, aren't encrypted, but files like game dialogs are. The funny thing is that encryption was applied to small bits of specific files here and there so you can see partially proper file. Probably it's not encryption to prevent people to use them but some kind of compression algorithm (and if it's true then it's strange, it's not like compressing those files changes anything, they're already quite small if you compare them with other files). Anyway, I'll try to deal with them at some point. Necrotek (talk) 19:09, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
Oh, one more thing. It seems that the game doesn't really mind to use extracted data so probably there is no need to repack them. Necrotek (talk) 19:14, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
Greeting once more~
Are you well at this time?
I am Risa. Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 15:57, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the contribution to Len'en Project.^^
I am Risa. Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 12:29, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
Because I managed to crack the data (now it's completely done, extra "protection" was actually compression with something like LZSS), I decided that it's good to use it somehow so I uploaded character images :) Maybe I'll add some other stuff too when I will have more time for that. Necrotek (talk) 18:00, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

Just some proof of concept. I might do (and might not to do) translations for those games at some point but even if I will, its quality from technical point of view will be lower than in MPP because I don't have access to the game code so any possible changes in game engine has to be through disassembling.

These are looking really awesome! It's really exciting to see the translations in there. Hey, since you had the translated stage title and description in there, does that mean that you can upload the titles and descriptions of the later stages now too? Anyways, good job on it.Flan27 (talk) 18:08, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Yep, I can, which ones you'd like? But I think it's faster if you just extract them yourself and take those which you're interested in, you would need to install Python for that though. Necrotek (talk) 18:19, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
I'm kind of planning on translating all of them, so... ^^;; Flan27 (talk) 19:27, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Oh, but I guess maybe they're images? Flan27 (talk) 19:28, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Ok, I think I got all images with Japanese text (though I could miss some of them). Some of them are duplicated but that's how those dat files were formed in the first place. - Necrotek (talk) 19:56, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Or, you can take whatever you want from these ones. I'll delete them after one day so be sure to have a copy before that.
Ah, well, since they're just images it's not any different than just taking a screenshot. Thank you though. Flan27 (talk) 21:45, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
I see, I didn't get what you meant before. Indeed, they're just images, that's why I didn't set text for stage titles and descriptions myself. Necrotek (talk) 21:54, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, admittedly I didn't get what you meant when you said before that you couldn't upload the text. Oops, misunderstanding! Well, that's the way it is, man. Flan27 (talk) 21:56, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Could you add the titles and the boss themes to Evanescent Existence's scenarios?
I am Risa. Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 15:20, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
I could do that but maybe later, I'd need to go through the game twice in order to know where to put them. Necrotek (talk) 15:33, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
Thank you nonetheless~
I hope you will be well.
I am Risa. Best of fortune be with you. (talk) 13:43, 16 December 2013 (UTC)

If someone would want to check the third team in RMI trial version, make a copy of game executable file, rename it to Le_03_3rdTeam.exe and apply the patch from the link in the game folder - Don't forget, it's not supposed to be played so it has bugs (no dialogs, stage music doesn't change during boss fights, and Saragimaru's bombs are messed - normal bomb is actually 「決して消えることなき徒雲」 even though it's named as 輪廻「樋速日神の瞳」, and flash bomb doesn't do anything at all). About Len'en again

Hi there. Thanks to your big contributions for the Len'en project in this wiki. I see that you uploaded the profile images, so I was wondering if you have the images for EX-Lumen in EMS and the real Tsubakura in EE that only appears in the Extra Stage. That would be really helpful.

Best wishes and thanks again --SakuraMiya (talk) 17:41, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

Heyo, I saw your Len'en RMI ABEX patch and it seems you know how to edit the HEX files or something (and also seeing Katapan's tweets it seems you helped them with their english patch that's currently unreleased. Please contact me as my team needs your help for a Len'en complete overhaul mod, as we need to change the boss patterns (we already know how to change stages), so your help will be really good! You can find me in discord Ryann1908#9434 or alternatively go to my youtube Ryann 1908 or my tweeter Ryann1908, discord'd be better, but you can choose that-- or my Touhou wiki page-- ANYWAY, we just really need your help, please~. I can explain more after I find you. --Ryann1908 (talk) 20:12, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
