Welcome[edit]

Hi, welcome to Touhou Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Stardust Reverie page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Leviathean (Talk) 13:07, June 22, 2010

Quick MusicArticle tip[edit]

Due to the nature of the "titlejp" field, it already has {{lang|ja|}} included in it. The only lang that should be in the "titlejp" field should be {{lang|en|}} for titles with English in them. !8RstuPId2Y Talk Contribs 15:28, August 8, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Arrange CDs[edit]

Is there a standard for marking edits that require additional fixing? The "original title" field I must apologize for overlooking it when I ran it through my scripts.

However, as the sources I use don't necessarily have the japanese title for the song, I figured at least having some clue what the title might be would be helpful. But I could mark them as well.

Also, it is absolutely necessary to use the {{lang|ja| ... } format for japanese titles? I'm not sure what the difference is.

Re: summary I added a summary to one of the pages and it doesn't seem to have done anything. I mean, there doesn't seem to be any visible note that informs a casual passerby that something might need editing.

PVs[edit]

Do you feel that this field is really necessary? I mean, it's pretty easy to find the PVs from the song titles themselves. But if you're intent on doing this, I hope that you're prepared to find every single PV for every applicable album. In for an inch, in for a mile. jigglyppuff8 Talk Contribs 11:40, 25 December 2010 (PST)

I believe that wiki should have more information than bare tracklist. Sometimes PV link is far more useful than, say, arranger or lyricist names. And about easy finding... wiki by design is made for information consolidation, isn't it? --WGH 12:57, 25 December 2010 (PST)
Points taken. Just wanted some justification. Welp, good luck on trying to track down information every PV. That's the only part I'm really concerned about. jigglyppuff8 Talk Contribs 14:08, 25 December 2010 (PST)

Re: DemoGuy[edit]

Is removing albums from templates really the best way to get them updated? It just makes some articles that still have the old template harder to find. Pufferfish101 06:09, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Not too big a problem, unless people prefer to update their favorite groups. In a couple months we'll have no more outdated articles! --Tsukihime 13:54, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
It actually doesn't "remove" them, but rebuilds the list each time. I could try to make it detect human-added albums, but that would be error-prone (and, honestly, I don't think there's reason implement that). --WGH 15:23, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Heya, I had a question about DemoGuy. In the dBu music nav box, the bot insists on updating the 2005 line as

夢幻夜想曲 Eternal Nocturne • 幻葬旋律曲 Necromanza • 紅魔狂詩曲 Scarlet Rapsodia • 追憶鎮魂曲 Nostalgic Requiem • 散華嬉遊曲 Flower Divertimento

whereas it should really be:

紅魔狂詩曲 Scarlet Rapsodia • 幻葬旋律曲 Necromanza • 夢幻夜想曲 Eternal Nocturne • 追憶鎮魂曲 Nostalgic Requiem • 散華嬉遊曲 Flower Divertimento

It might have to do with the album's release date/alphabetical order (the first four were released on the same date), but since the circle itself numbers them as the latter it's more logical to go with that. Is there a way to stop the bot from updating that part? Mizutori 14:27, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

In that case I'll add secondary sort key: catalog number. If it's really needed, I would add an option to include another key manually. --WGH 15:55, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Hello again! This time, DemoGuy reverted and deleted a navbox I'd made on a template page and I have no idea why .__. The template in question was here. Why did the bot do that :o? Mizutori 23:23, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

It is configured to output empty template when there is only one album. --WGH 12:18, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Regarding uk[edit]

Is it "possible" to bring ru articles to uk as both are similar in language, so that it doesn't make uk "deserted" - KyoriAsh 21:38, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Altough they're somewhat similar, it's not possible for Russian speaker to write in Ukrainian without additional learning. --WGH 21:44, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Documentation subpage template[edit]

I did mentioned this before in IRC about ru using this template or not and you thinks that it is not neccessary. However, Documentation subpage will auto categorize the documentation page and linked back to main article, refer the template for more info. - KyoriAsh 21:45, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Fairy Pic[edit]

Hello, I'm making a hub and I see you do not have a picture. No need to make one (although if you wish to, that's great), for I made 3 mysterious fairies to pick from! Choose between Fairy A, B, or C within 3 days, otherwise I'll have to pick one :P

Thanks for your time! ♥★♦ 00:15, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Momiji thing[edit]

Can I ask you about http://en.touhouwiki.net/index.php?title=Momiji_Inubashiri&diff=265478&oldid=261472 ? It seems a bit too general for a trivia, and I am curious what did you had in mind with it. Berzul (talk) 01:26, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

I just felt like it. It's partially related to fandom, as rabies jokes are also popular there. Trivia is the first thing where I'd search for origin of various jokes. --WGH (talk) 14:45, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
I can see it is related to Fandom, so why not put it in Fandom with any explanations what kind of joke the fandom made of it? (Because jokes do "always" have origin or some relation to said trivia, or just informations from games) Berzul (talk) 15:20, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Because it's joke made by ZUN. It's not quite a fan-made meme or such. Just a fun fact. --WGH (talk) 18:58, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Again.. It is a fact, but it just does not say anything more that it is a fact.. like umm "Momiji is the 4 stage mini-boss in MoF" An information for trivia? If you can on the other hand prove that Zun uses it as a joke somewhere else then it would be something more than just general information. Berzul (talk) 19:53, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
I have to agree with Berzul that, as is, it's not very noteworthy. It's inclusion would have to be justified by some other reason other than name alone. - Kiefmaster99 (talk) 01:18, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
OK, I got your point. I moved it to Fanon section and added some examples from fan works. --WGH (talk) 15:26, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

AutoWikiBrowser help[edit]

I see that you are your bot are on the list here so I was wondering if you could help me with this. I'm trying to use AutoWikiBrowser but from the start I can't seem to enter the touhouwiki using the custom project field on the Site tab in Preferences successfully. I have managed to connect to other wikis without an issue but I can't seem to connect to the Touhouwiki so I was wondering if you were currently able to? Ycdtosa (talk) 23:25, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
